xrandr工具提供这样的功能。执行命令xrandr，查看xrandr可以支持的分辨率列表：

当前使用的分辨率会被星号（"*"）标出来。在这里，当前的分辨率是1280x1024。

改变分辨率，执行xrandr -s 0，0在这里是想要的分辨率编号。

例如：xrandr -s 3 将系统的分辨率改为800x600。在不同的系统中显示的分辨率列表不一定相同，意思就是xrandr -s 2这一个系统中显示的分辨率不一定和其他系统中的一样。
